A really great new feature at the Barefoot site is a Barefoot on a Budget challenge. We all voted on a recipe that would ultimately end up breaking the bank and modify it to our liking and our budget.
I’m not sure what is more disturbing… the fact that The Husband had the dry ice on hand to do this?
The fact that Radar is interested?
The fact that we found this absolutely hilarious for a good 30 minutes?
Or the mad skilz to read her mind and translate it to a picture?

Last year The Husband and I were part of a Bible study for: 20-something married couples who have not reproduced. It was a great group of fun, energetic, interesting people. One of the other couples in the group has now become some of our best friends… but they now have an [...]

I woke up this morning completely numb. I know this is a scary place to be in life, to not care anymore. To feel like nothing makes a difference. The fight has worn me out.
I left 30 minutes early this morning so I could sit in the gazebo at the park where [...]

Meanwhile, The Husband and I will be spending the weekend celebrating my loosing [...]
As a child I was never interested in Happily Ever After movies. I’m just not wired that way. I believe in true love, I believe in happiness… I believe they are both attainable, but life isn’t always sunshine and smiles. I’m not against Happily Ever After movies, in fact, I find myself inexplicably drawn to [...]
I seem to surround myself with picky eaters. When I first met my good friend Stephanie, she absolutely refused to even try new things. Over the past two years (holy cow, I can’t believe we’ve been here for 2 years!) she has gradually picked up spoon after spoon to try new creations of mine. Recently [...]

First of all, I want to thank McKenzie, of Kenzie’s Kitchen for choosing this recipe. Occasionally I get stuck in a rut with my recipes. I find a particular flavor combination that I like and I don’t want to try anything else knowing I’ll be disappointed.

As a proud Air Force wife I live my life supporting a "mission first" mentality. Take an inside look at my life inside the silent ranks, the ups and downs of loving a military man and putting our country first. Plus... come along for a sneak peek as the camouflage comes off and I share my love of healthy cooking, photography and kicking butt at Kick-boxing.
