Last night was supposed to be our last night with The Mother-In-Law and Father-In-Law. We had such a wonderful week with them, the decided to stay an extra day! I wish they didn’t have to go, but home beckons. I do believe that MSgt Gomer Pyle and A1C Radar convinced them to get a baby [...] Stand at attention troops! After a long day at work my favorite form of therapy is making delicious things to share with others. Fortunately for me, cooking involves lots of chopping. The Husband purchased a beautiful knife (nicknamed Butch) for me a few years ago that I will most likely take with me to my grave. I love Butch [...] Mom just called… She’s CANCER FREE!!!!!!!!! Praise God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for your kind words, prayers and support through all of this. Thank you, thank you, thank you! The In-Laws are visiting The Husband and I right now. They got here Friday afternoon and will stay through Thursday, then The Sister-In-Law will board a plane for Washington DC on Saturday to start her junior year at George Washington. **not gluten free** Yesterday when The Husband and I were doing a little grocery shopping at Target I asked him what kind of pizza he wanted. His reply was, “Oh, the usual.” Slightly miffed I said, “Why don’t we try something new? Like a buffalo chicken pizza?” The Husband looked at me with horror [...] Seriously. There’s nothing like a little plane porn to get an Air Force girl going. The Husband just sent this to me and it cheered me up immensely. I needed cheering.
This is The Husband’s old mistress (his old plane). She’s beefy… and that’s without any of the bombs on it. Do you see that [...] The surgery yesterday went without a hitch… it was the moments leading up to it that were wrought with pain and suffering. My parents arrived early to check in and make sure everything was in order. The nurse in the admissions department almost demanded that my father ride to the next destination in a wheelchair. My [...] The Husband and I returned from the Airshow late last night. It’s 7:45 and I just got home from work. My mom is having her surgery tomorrow and she called to tell me that my dance teacher’s father passed away this morning (more on this later). The In-Laws are going to be here at weeks [...] |
